Full Schedule for FIFA Club World Cup 2025 – Mark Your Calendars!

Introduction: 63 Matches, One Trophy – Get Ready!

If you’re a planner (or just a football fanatic who hates missing games), you’re in the right place. The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is jam-packed with 63 matches from mid-June to mid-July, and we’ve got the full schedule laid out for you. Grab your calendar, set your alarms, and perhaps inform your family/employer that you’ll be “busy” on certain dates – the world’s top clubs are facing off, and you won’t want to miss it!

We’ll break down the schedule by stages and highlight some must-watch clashes. All times listed here are local U.S. Eastern Time (ET) to help you plan (adjust if you’re elsewhere – for example, UK fans add 5 hours to get BST). Now, let’s dive into the day-by-day excitement.

Group Stage: June 15 – June 26, 2025

The group stage features 8 groups (A through H) of four teams each, and it runs from June 15 to June 26. During this phase, there are matches almost every day – often multiple per day – across different U.S. cities. Each team plays 3 group matches, and these games are scheduled such that the final round in each group has simultaneous kick-offs to keep things fair.

Here’s a breakdown by group with key fixtures (all times ET):

  • Group A – Teams: Palmeiras (BRA), FC Porto (POR), Al Ahly (EGY), Inter Miami (USA).

    • Opening Match: Saturday, June 14Al Ahly vs Inter Miami, 8pm ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. This is the tournament’s inaugural game, featuring the host team Inter Miami (Messi’s squad) against African giants Al Ahly – talk about starting with flair!

    • Sunday, June 15 – Palmeiras vs Porto, 6pm ET at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. A classic South America vs Europe battle early on.

    • Thursday, June 19 – Doubleheader: Palmeiras vs Al Ahly (12pm ET, MetLife Stadium) and Inter Miami vs Porto (3pm ET, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta). This day could be make-or-break for teams aiming to top the group.

    • Monday, June 23 – Final Group A matches: Inter Miami vs Palmeiras (9pm ET, Miami) and Porto vs Al Ahly (9pm ET, New Jersey). These simultaneous games could decide who advances – expect drama if standings are tight.

  • Group B – Teams: Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Atlético Madrid (ESP), Botafogo (BRA), Seattle Sounders (USA).

    • Sunday, June 15PSG vs Atlético Madrid, 3pm ET at Rose Bowl, Pasadena. Yes, you read that right – two big-name clubs (Messi’s former rival Mbappé’s PSG vs Griezmann’s Atlético) meeting on Day 1 of group play. Fireworks in the Rose Bowl!

    • Sunday, June 15 – Botafogo vs Seattle Sounders, 10pm ET at Lumen Field, Seattle. Hometown crowd in Seattle will be rocking as the Sounders represent MLS against Brazil’s Botafogo.

    • Thursday, June 19 – PSG vs Botafogo (9pm ET, Rose Bowl) and Seattle vs Atlético (6pm ET, Seattle). A South American flavor in LA and a transatlantic clash in Seattle – this day is group B’s turning point.

    • Monday, June 23 – Final Group B games: Seattle vs PSG (3pm ET, Seattle) and Atlético vs Botafogo (3pm ET, Pasadena). Simultaneous matches on opposite coasts – keep your remote handy to toggle, as qualification could come down to goal difference here.

  • Group C – Teams: Bayern Munich (GER), Benfica (POR), Boca Juniors (ARG), Auckland City (NZL).

    • Sunday, June 15Bayern Munich vs Auckland City, 12pm ET at TQL Stadium, Cincinnati. European heavyweights Bayern open against the Oceania underdogs Auckland City. Will it be a routine win for Bayern or the upset of the century?

    • Monday, June 16 – Boca Juniors vs Benfica, 6pm ET at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami. An exciting matchup: Argentine passion vs Portuguese flair under the Miami sun.

    • Friday, June 20 – Bayern Munich vs Boca Juniors (9pm ET, Miami) and Benfica vs Auckland City (12pm ET, Orlando’s Inter&Co Stadium). Circle that Bayern-Boca game – a true clash of club titans from different continents!

    • Tuesday, June 24 – Final Group C: Benfica vs Bayern (3pm ET, Charlotte) and Auckland City vs Boca (3pm ET, Nashville). Likely, Bayern and Boca could be duking it out for first place, but don’t count Benfica out either.

  • Group D – Teams: Flamengo (BRA), Chelsea (ENG), Espérance de Tunis (TUN), Club América/LAFC* (MEX/USA).
(Note: Club León (MEX) was originally in Group D, but due to a multi-ownership conflict, León was removed. Club América (MEX) and LAFC (USA) will play a one-off playoff on May 31, 2025 to fill that spot. The winner joins Group D.)

    • Monday, June 16 – Flamengo vs Espérance, 9pm ET at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia. The Copa Libertadores champs (Flamengo) meet the CAF Champions League winners – a great intercontinental matchup to start Group D.

    • Monday, June 16 – Chelsea vs Club América/LAFC (whichever qualified), 3pm ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta. Chelsea, a recent Champions League winner, face an opponent that had to fight to get here. Atlanta’s crowd will see some star power with Chelsea’s squad.

    • Friday, June 20 – Flamengo vs Chelsea (2pm ET, Philadelphia) – a blockbuster encounter between Brazil’s finest and the Premier League club. Same day, Club América/LAFC vs Espérance (6pm ET, Nashville). This day could very well decide the top of the group if Flamengo and Chelsea both won their openers.

    • Tuesday, June 24 – Final Group D: Club América/LAFC vs Flamengo (9pm ET, Camping World Stadium, Orlando) and Espérance vs Chelsea (9pm ET, Philadelphia). Keep an eye on tiebreakers; this group could get wild if there are upsets.

  • Group E – Teams: River Plate (ARG), Inter Milan (ITA), CF Monterrey (MEX), Urawa Red Diamonds (JPN).

    • Tuesday, June 17 – River Plate vs Urawa Reds, 3pm ET at Lumen Field, Seattle. A South America vs Asia opening duel; Seattle fans will witness Argentina’s historic club vs Japan’s champions.

    • Tuesday, June 17 – Monterrey vs Inter Milan, 9pm ET at Rose Bowl, Pasadena. A huge test for Mexico’s Rayados (Monterrey) against Italy’s Inter. Expect a big crowd in Pasadena, which has a strong Mexican fanbase – it might feel like a home game for Monterrey!

    • Saturday, June 21 – River Plate vs Monterrey (9pm ET, Pasadena) and Inter Milan vs Urawa (3pm ET, Seattle). By now, we’ll see who’s in pole position. Inter facing Urawa could be crucial points for the Italians, while River vs Monterrey could be a direct battle for knockout qualification.

    • Wednesday, June 25 – Final Group E: Inter Milan vs River Plate (9pm ET, Seattle) and Urawa vs Monterrey (9pm ET, Pasadena). A potential winner-takes-all between Inter and River for the top spot – one of the tastiest fixtures of the group stage, closing out in primetime.

  • Group F – Teams: Fluminense (BRA), Borussia Dortmund (GER), Ulsan Hyundai (KOR), Mamelodi Sundowns (RSA).

    • Tuesday, June 17 – Fluminense vs Borussia Dortmund, 12pm ET at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. An exciting clash kicks off Group F: the 2023 Copa Libertadores champs Fluminense (featuring talent like Marcelo) vs Germany’s Dortmund (with their yellow wall… of fans, if any travel). A rare Brazil vs Germany club meeting!

    • Tuesday, June 17 – Ulsan Hyundai vs Mamelodi Sundowns, 6pm ET at Orlando (Inter&Co Stadium). Korean and South African champions meet in a lesser-known but intriguing matchup, showcasing the diversity of this tournament.

    • Saturday, June 21 – Fluminense vs Ulsan (6pm ET, MetLife Stadium NJ) and Sundowns vs Dortmund (12pm ET, TQL Stadium Cincinnati). We could see Dortmund and Fluminense trying to avoid slips against the other two. Don’t underestimate Ulsan or Sundowns – both have the quality to frustrate the big names.

    • Wednesday, June 25 – Final Group F: Sundowns vs Fluminense (3pm ET, Miami) and Dortmund vs Ulsan (3pm ET, Cincinnati). All eyes might be on whether Dortmund’s attack or Flu’s flair come out on top, assuming both are in contention. Could a goal difference or head-to-head decide second place? Possibly!

  • Group G – Teams: Manchester City (ENG), Wydad AC (MAR), Al Ain (UAE), Juventus (ITA).

    • Wednesday, June 18Manchester City vs Wydad, 12pm ET at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia. The reigning European champions Man City (also 2023 Club World Cup winners in the old format) debut against Morocco’s Wydad, who won Africa’s Champions League. City are favorites, but Wydad will relish the challenge.

    • Wednesday, June 18 – Al Ain vs Juventus, 9pm ET at Audi Field, Washington D.C.. Juve returns to international glory hunting, opening against UAE’s Al Ain. Audi Field is one of the smaller venues (20k seater), so an intimate loud crowd for this encounter is expected.

    • Sunday, June 22 – Man City vs Al Ain (9pm ET, Atlanta) and Juventus vs Wydad (12pm ET, Philadelphia). Likely a crucial day for Juve – they’ll aim to bank three points vs Wydad, while City will look to flex their muscle against Al Ain. Upset alert: any slip by Juve or City here could throw Group G into chaos.

    • Thursday, June 26 – Final Group G: Juventus vs Man City (3pm ET, Orlando) and Wydad vs Al Ain (3pm ET, Washington D.C.). Circle that Juve vs City match! It’s a European heavyweight showdown, and it could determine first place (or even who advances if someone stumbled earlier). A blockbuster to finish group G.

  • Group H – Teams: Real Madrid (ESP), Al Hilal (KSA), Pachuca (MEX), Red Bull Salzburg (AUT).

    • Wednesday, June 18Real Madrid vs Al Hilal, 3pm ET at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami. A rematch of sorts from the 2022 Club World Cup final (where Real beat Al Hilal). Real Madrid, record 5-time CWC champions, start their campaign in sunny Miami against the Asian champs (Al Hilal boast stars like potentially Neymar). Expect a packed house and a lot of neutral fan love for Real.

    • Wednesday, June 18 – Pachuca vs Red Bull Salzburg, 6pm ET at TQL Stadium, Cincinnati. Mexican and Austrian champions clash – a fairly even matchup on paper and crucial for both to keep pace in a group with mighty Real.

    • Sunday, June 22 – Real Madrid vs Pachuca (3pm ET, Charlotte) and Salzburg vs Al Hilal (6pm ET, Washington D.C.). By this point, Real might be looking to seal qualification early. Pachuca will aim to shock them or at least snag a point. Meanwhile, Salzburg vs Al Hilal could be a direct battle for a knockout spot – European youth vs Saudi experience.

    • Thursday, June 26 – Final Group H: Red Bull Salzburg vs Real Madrid (9pm ET, Philadelphia) and Al Hilal vs Pachuca (9pm ET, Nashville). Real Madrid under the lights in Philly to close the group – will they have it wrapped up or will Salzburg be fighting them for survival? And don’t overlook Al Hilal vs Pachuca; one of these could be a surprise package sneaking into second place.

After the dust settles on June 26, we’ll say goodbye to 16 teams (the bottom two of each group) and gear up for the knockouts.

Round of 16: June 28 – July 1, 2025

Congratulations, you’ve made it through the group marathon – now the real fun begins. The Round of 16 is win-or-go-home, featuring eight matchups determined by the group standings: each group winner is paired with a runner-up from another group. The bracket was set in advance (so you can even pencil potential pairings now, although predicting group outcomes is a risky game!). Here are the match slots:

  • Saturday, June 28:

    • Match 49: Winner Group A vs Runner-up Group B – 12pm ET, Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia).

    • Match 50: Winner Group C vs Runner-up Group D – 4pm ET, Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte).

  • Sunday, June 29:

    • Match 51: Winner Group B vs Runner-up Group A – 12pm ET, Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta).

    • Match 52: Winner Group D vs Runner-up Group C – 4pm ET, Hard Rock Stadium (Miami).

  • Monday, June 30:

    • Match 53: Winner Group E vs Runner-up Group F – 3pm ET, Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte).

    • Match 54: Winner Group G vs Runner-up Group H – 9pm ET, Camping World Stadium (Orlando).

  • Tuesday, July 1:

    • Match 55: Winner Group H vs Runner-up Group G – 3pm ET, Hard Rock Stadium (Miami).

    • Match 56: Winner Group F vs Runner-up Group E – 9pm ET, Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta).

These matches will be intense – no second chances. We could see classic encounters like Real Madrid (if they win Group H) possibly face a Juventus or Wydad (runner-up Group G) in Match 55, or Manchester City (if they top Group G) potentially meeting a Pachuca or Al Hilal (runner-up H) in Match 54 – just hypotheticals, but mouthwatering ones. Keep in mind, extra time and penalty shootouts are in play from this stage if matches are tied.

(Insider tip: With knockout matches happening in pairs at the same city on the same day in some cases (e.g., Charlotte hosts two R16 games on Jun 28 & Jun 30), if you’re traveling, you might catch a doubleheader of high-stakes soccer.)

Quarter-Finals: July 4 – 5, 2025

Happy Independence Day, America – let’s celebrate with quarter-final fireworks! The last eight teams face off as follows:

  • Friday, July 4:

    • Match 57: Winner of Match 53 vs Winner of Match 54 – 3pm ET, Camping World Stadium (Orlando).

    • Match 58: Winner of Match 49 vs Winner of Match 50 – 9pm ET, Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia).

  • Saturday, July 5:

    • Match 59: Winner of Match 51 vs Winner of Match 52 – 12pm ET, Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta).

    • Match 60: Winner of Match 55 vs Winner of Match 56 – 4pm ET, MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ).

At this stage, it’s anyone’s guess who will be there – but if we project the favorites, these could be epic. For instance, if many group winners advance, Match 58 (Philly) could be a collision of European titans (say, a Chelsea vs Bayern type scenario), or perhaps a Europe vs South America clash. Same for the others – e.g., Match 60 in New Jersey might feature a Real Madrid or Man City if all goes “according to plan.” But tournaments rarely read the script, so expect at least one dark horse quarter-finalist.

One thing’s for sure: by the end of July 5, we’ll know the Final Four clubs.

Semi-Finals: July 8 – 9, 2025

Down to four teams, and the semi-finals will both be held at MetLife Stadium in the New York/New Jersey area – giving these matches a huge stage (MetLife can hold ~82,500 fans). The atmosphere should be electric:

  • Tuesday, July 8: Semi-final 1 (Match 61) – Winner of QF Match 57 vs Winner of QF Match 58, at 3pm ET, MetLife Stadium.

  • Wednesday, July 9: Semi-final 2 (Match 62) – Winner of QF Match 59 vs Winner of QF Match 60, at 3pm ET, MetLife Stadium.

So, both semis are afternoon games on back-to-back days. This setup means if, say, a South American team and a European team make one semi, and two European teams in the other, you could have the classic Europe vs S. America final setup – or any variety. There’s no third-place game, so for the losers, this will be the end of the road. For the winners: ticket punched to the historic final.

(Random fact: Having both semis in the same stadium on consecutive days is a bit unusual – it might be for logistical ease, and perhaps to ensure big crowds in the New York area. It also means the pitch at MetLife will get a lot of use that week, but presumably it will be pristine and ready.)

The Grand Final: July 13, 2025

Sunday, July 13 – The Final (Match 63) at 3pm ET, MetLife Stadium. This is it – the match that crowns the world’s top club. If you watch just one game in this tournament, this is the one. The finalists will have survived a gauntlet of seven matches (for those starting from groups) or four matches (for those starting from knockouts if any came as runner-up) to get here.

The final being in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium is fitting – it’s a venue slated for the World Cup 2026 final as well, so it’s literally a dress rehearsal in some ways. Imagine a packed house with a split crowd of, say, Madridistas and Citizens (if Real Madrid and Man City were the finalists), or perhaps some surprise contender that captured neutral hearts.

The trophy presentation will follow, and one club will etch their name in history as the first 32-team Club World Cup Champions. For context, no team has won more Club World Cups than Real Madrid (they have 5 titles under the old format), so they’ll be looking to extend their record. But hungry newcomers like Man City might want their first, or a Brazilian club might aim to bring the title back to South America for the first time in decades. The narrative possibilities are endless.
